🔴 High duty exposure

Most importers overpay massively on Chinese tariffs

Nexo can source compliant alternatives from Vietnam, India, Mexico, or Brazil.

AD/CVD on Chinese porcelain tile is 496.08% of CIF. Verify with USITC scope ruling before commit. Most importers source from Vietnam, India, or Mexico to avoid these duties — see the China Antidumping Calculator.

How we calculate

Methodology and data sources

This calculator estimates landed cost using publicly available US Customs and trade data — see our landed cost explainer for the full line-by-line waterfall behind every number. Standard duty rates come from the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) 2026. Section 301 tariffs follow USTR List 3 rules for Chinese-origin goods. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD) reflect the most recent Federal Register continuation orders; the China AD/CVD primer walks through each scope and rate.

Ocean freight estimates use Freightos benchmark indices updated quarterly. Drayage (port-to-warehouse) is sourced from US port operator published rates Q2 2026. MPF and HMF are computed per 19 CFR 24.23 and 24.24 respectively. ISF filing ($30), customs bond (0.5% of CIF, $50 floor), and the per-entry broker flat are configurable.

Estimates are NOT legal or customs advice. AD/CVD scope is supplier-specific — confirm the cash deposit rate with USITC for your supplier before shipping. For deal-grade accuracy, work with a licensed customs broker. Nexo can connect you with verified suppliers and arrange the brokerage if needed.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions

  • What is landed cost?

Landed cost is the total cost of an imported product including FOB price, ocean freight, insurance, customs duties, anti-dumping duties if applicable, broker fees, MPF, HMF, ISF filing, customs bond, and inland transportation to the final destination.

  • How accurate is this calculator?

Estimates are based on publicly available USITC, USTR, and CBP data updated quarterly. Standard duty and AD/CVD rates are verified from Federal Register. Ocean freight uses Freightos benchmarks. Verify with a licensed customs broker before committing.

  • Does this include anti-dumping duties on Chinese imports?

Yes. For products subject to active AD/CVD orders (porcelain tile, wooden cabinets, vanities, engineered hardwood from China), the calculator applies the combined rate per the most recent Federal Register continuation order. See our China Antidumping Calculator for material-specific breakdown.

  • What's the difference between MPF and HMF?

MPF (Merchandise Processing Fee) is 0.3464% of CIF value with a minimum of $31.67 and maximum of $614.35 per entry. HMF (Harbor Maintenance Fee) is 0.125% of CIF for ocean shipments arriving at any US port. Both fees go to CBP.

  • How do I calculate landed cost from China including all tariffs?

For Chinese imports the calculator adds Section 301 List 3 tariffs (+25% on most building materials) on top of standard duty. If the product is subject to AD/CVD (porcelain tile, wooden cabinets, vanities), those rates apply as well, pushing total duty to 100%+ of CIF on many items.

  • Does landed cost include drayage and trucking?

Yes. The calculator estimates drayage (port-to-warehouse) based on destination ZIP. For multi-stop or long-haul trucking beyond port-to-warehouse, add those costs separately. Default Miami-Dade drayage is ~$500; Atlanta from Savannah is ~$1,100.

  • Is this calculator free?

Yes, free with no signup required. If you want a verified supplier shortlist and a real quote sourced for you (factory-direct, all-in), contact Nexo at info@bahele.com or +1 305 680 1959.

  • How do I calculate the landed cost of porcelain tile?

Enter FOB (typically $3 to $15/sqft from Asia), total sqft, select porcelain-tile, choose origin (if China, AD/CVD applies at ~496%), choose port and container. Calculator returns per-sqft landed including all duties and fees.

  • What HTS code should I use for porcelain tile?

For glazed porcelain floor tile under 30cm side, use HTS 6907.21.9011. For 30 to 60cm tile, use 6907.22. For unglazed, use 6907.20. The calculator auto-fills 6907.21 when you select porcelain tile if you leave HTS blank.

  • Why is my landed cost higher than the supplier DDP quote?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) quotes from Asian suppliers sometimes underestimate US duties, broker fees, or fail to include AD/CVD. Some use under-valuation (illegal) or non-compliant entry methods. Compare with this calculator and our DDP vs FOB explainer in the Insights section.

  • Is the customs broker fee fixed?

No. The $175 default is a typical entry filing fee for a single-shipment formal entry. Brokers may charge $35-$100 for simpler entries or $250-$400 for complex multi-SKU entries. Adjust the input field to match your specific broker.
